What is the White Book?
The White Book is Sweet & Maxwell's core civil procedure volume for England & Wales, providing the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and related procedural materials with expert commentary written by practising barristers and judges — designed for day-to-day use in the civil courts.
What's included in White Book 2026 Volume 2?
Volume 2 of the White Book includes the Court Guides, Specialist CPR Proceedings (eg. Commercial, Arbitration, Technology & Construction, Financial, IP) and the Terrorism Parts of the CPR. Volume 2 also includes sections on related civil practice areas, such as Housing and Consumer Credit, plus sections on the Supreme Court, related procedural legislation, limitation periods and longer commentary sections on elements of the CPR not required in Volume 1.
