Shireen Permohammed
Shireen specialises in the resolution of disputes relating to brands, content and designs, as well as their protection and exploitation.
Shireen has acted for clients in the publishing, mobile phone, fashion, luxury goods and FMCG fields amongst others. She advised Orange in its high profile dispute with the easyGroup over the use of the colour orange in relation to mobile phones and assisted a well known publisher in relation to the pre publication protection of book content.
Shireen joined Harbottle & Lewis in July 2009 from the intellectual property firm Rouse Legal (formerly Willoughby & Partners), where she was a partner for eleven years. She trained at Clifford Chance, and qualified there in 1989, having studied at Oxford University. She is a CEDR accredited mediator and has over the years written articles for a number of publications, including most recently Copyright World.
