EDITORS & EDITORIAL BOARD

David Lucas, Hill Dickinson

Upon the merger with Middleton Potts on 1 July 2009, David was appointed partner and head of the firm’s commodity group.

David was a founding partner of Middleton Potts and had been its senior partner since 2001.

For the first few years after qualifying, David worked in a broad range of areas for commercial clients. However, for many years he has focused principally on his current specialities of commodities and trade finance, shipping and international trade.

He has developed a wide client base, including commodity trading houses, bankers engaged in trade finance, insurers and shipowners and operators throughout the world.

In addition, David regularly advises arbitrators appointed to determine disputes conducted under the auspices of a number of the major trade associations.

David has for many years been a member of the Commercial Court Users’ Committee.
